Karen Sturchio, CEO of the Kansas Christian Home (KCH) is promoting an opportunity to help KCH residents with the three plagues of aging: loneliness, helplessness, and boredom. The simple program, POWER OF ONE (YOU), asks you to combat these issues by providing someone to love, something to do and something to look forward to that will improve the quality and quantity of life at KCH.
THE POWER OF ONE DAY –
There are many “one day” opportunities to participate in playing games, joining in music, or sharing your passion with residents of KCH.
THE POWER OF ONE RELATIONSHIP –
Residents benefit from those who interact on a personal level. Volunteer to help with monthly parties, decorate for holidays, or use your imagination for this ministry.
THE POWER OF ONE GIFT –
Through the generous monetary gifts of KCH supporters over $300,000 of charitable care are provided each year. Each and every donation is used for the care and comfort of our residents.
One day a year is all it takes to fill KCH with joy.
