May 2026
Dear Disciples across Kansas,
Grace and peace to you in this post Easter season. Across the plains, small towns, and cities of our region, signs of resurrection are all around us—in fields being planted, in communities gathering, and in congregations continuing to embody Christ’s love in meaningful ways.
As we move through May, we are reminded that resurrection is not just something we celebrate, it is something we live.

✨ A Word for the Season
In a time when division often feels close at hand, our shared calling as Disciples remains clear: to stay at the table.
Here in Kansas, that means:
- Showing up for one another across distance and difference
- Practicing faithful conversation in our congregations and communities
- Holding fast to our covenant, even when the path forward is unclear
The table is where Christ meets us—not because we agree on everything, but because we belong to Christ and to one another.
🕊️ Regional Life & Ministry
Regional Assembly Connections
As we look ahead to our upcoming Regional Assembly, we do so with gratitude for the ways God continues to move among us and with anticipation for what will unfold when we gather as one body. This year’s Assembly invites us to reconnect—with one another, with our shared calling, and with the Spirit that binds us together in love and mission. Mark your calendars now to attend on August 8th at Belmont Blvd. Christian Church in Salina.

The theme for the virtual General Assembly will be Beyond: Love Surpassing. Mark your calendars now to attend online July 10th & 11th. You can register for the event online at disiples.org/ga not only to register, but to find the schedule for General Assembly.

📖 Leadership Reflection
Leadership in this season often feels like holding both hope and uncertainty at the same time. As Disciples, we are called not to withdraw from that tension, but to remain present within it.
Where is God calling your congregation to stay at the table—especially when it would be easier to step away?
💬 Staying Connected
Your regional ministry is here to support you. Whether you’re celebrating, struggling, or simply discerning what’s next, we are in this together.
Please reach out, share your stories, and stay connected as we continue to live into our shared calling.
🌾 Closing Blessing
May Christ meet you in the breaking of the bread. May the Spirit move across the wide Kansas plains and within your congregation. And may you be a witness to resurrection—right where you are.
Grace and peace,
David Dubovich
Associate Regional Minister
