The Executive Committee voted to call Rev. William (Bill) Rose-Heim as Associate Regional Minister for Leadership Development. Bill recently served the region as a part-time interim Regional Minister during Tom’s sabbatical, and we are excited to welcome him as a permanent member of our staff.
In this role, Bill will be working 10 -15 hours per week providing:

· Oversight and accountability for the four transformational churches with an active MOU with the region.
· Design and lead a pilot regional ambassador/elder program in the Northeast Area, helping us cultivate stronger local leadership networks and deeper relational connection across congregations.
· Guide and support the rollout of “When Everyone Leads” throughout the region, equipping congregations to embrace shared leadership in practical and sustainable ways.
Bill has served in Christian ministry since 1979, the last twenty-nine years in regional ministry, and nine of those years as Regional Minister for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Greater Kansas City. During which time he also chaired the Governance Committee of the General Board and president of the College of Regional Ministers. Bill and his wife - Rev. Donna Rose-Heim - will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary in May and are the proud parents of five children and seven grandchildren, who all reside in the KC Metro area.
Bill is an elder and board secretary of the Independence Boulevard Christian Church in Kansas City, MO. A veteran of the USAF, he has been a firefighter and currently volunteers with the Johnson County, KS Community Emergency Response Team, KC for Refugees, and several nonprofit boards. Bill is a lifelong learner and recently was certified as facilitator by the Kansas Leadership Center to bring the ‘When Everyone Leads’ course to congregations. When he's not working, Bill likes to hike and go rock climbing, grow his own vegetables, and spend time cooking.
Welcome Bill, we are thrilled you have accepted our offer to share your gifts with our region.
