The Disciples Center at Tawakoni is looking for Summer Camp Staff! Below you will find a list of some of the duties that summer staff help with around the campgrounds. Lawncare:
- Mowing
- Weedeating
- Cutting out trees
- Pulling weeds
- Trimming back paths
- Leaf blowing
- Trimming bushes and hedges
Kitchen:
- Washing dishes
- Drying dishes
- Putting away dishes
- Assisting in meal preparations
- Assisting in serving food during mealtimes
- Cleaning up any food-related messes
- Taking out trash
- Refilling the ice dispenser
Cleaning:
- Sweeping
- Vaccuuming
- Mopping
- Picking up stray trash
- Taking trash to the main trash bins
- Cleaning all windows and mirrors
- Wiping down all surfaces with disinfectant
- Spraying down any furniture with disinfectant
- Clean any toilets, sinks, and showers
- Checking all appliances such as fridges, microwaves, dishwashers/strainers, and coffee makers, are empty and clean
- Pick up any lost items for the lost-and-found
- Refilling any soap, handsanitizer, toiletpaper, and paper towel dispensers that are low
Miscellaneous:
- Lifeguarding (requires separate special training)
- Challenge Course facilitation (requires separate special training)
- Setting up/dismantling tables, beds, or chairs in various buildings for various groups
- Archery
- Occasional facility painting
- Monitoring campfires
