The Reconciliation Ministry Special Offering will be received in congregations this year on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3. The theme is “Revealing God’s Justice: The Time is Always Ripe to Do What is Right.” Now, in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd, violence against Asian and Pacific Islanders, and the deadly inequities of the Coronavirus pandemic, is the time for the Church to strengthen its commitment to actively seek God’s justice.
Reconciliation Ministry is the church-wide mission fund that supports programs and program partners that enable full human flourishing for everyone in every community. Your gifts to the Reconciliation Ministry allow communities and congregations to ensure the human dignity of every child, to ensure all have access to Christ’s abundance, to fully flourish in education, and financial stability, and friendships across God’s human diversity.

Funds from the Reconciliation Special Day Offering provide grants for pro-reconciliation/anti-racism programs. Half of the Reconciliation Special offering received September-October, stays in Kansas to fund projects that address racism and/or poverty in our community. (See CCK Reconciliation Grant Information here) Regional reconciliation ministries seeking grants are:
- Kansas Anti-Racism/Pro-Reconciliation Team
- Pine Valley CC Birthday Backpack Program, Wichita
- Rawlins County Circles Community
To fully fund these projects our 2021 goal is a total of $24,000. Thank you for your generosity in support of these efforts.
