Transitions:
The installation service for Pastor Rev. Dr. Gerald Demarest was held on Dec. 10 at First Christian Church Wellington.
Rev. Dr. David Dubovich concludes his ministry on Nov. 19 at Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson after eight years. He accepted a call as CCK Acting Associate Regional Minister serving the Central and High Plains districts beginning Nov. 27. Park Place CC has called Jerry Muncy as their Interim Pastor.
Danny Ginn retires Dec. 31 after serving 32 years in ministry, the last 31 years at Oxford Christian Church. The church has called Doug Amend as their Interim Pastor beginning in January.
Greg Hamlin retires on Dec. 31 after serving for 20 years, the last three years at Haysville First Christian Church. He also served at the Salina Rescue Mission, KETCH, Faith CC in Wichita, and the Kansas Christian Home. Haysville FCC has called Pat Nixon as their Interim Pastor beginning in January.

Patricia “Pat” Ann Wheeler, 76, of McPherson, died Nov. 22, in Wichita. She was a member of McPherson First Christian Church. She held many roles within the church throughout the years. After moving to McPherson, she loved counseling church camp at Camp Wa-Ja-To, Lyons; Christian Hills, Eureka; and Camp Tawakoni, Augusta.

Celebrations:
Rev. Travis Smith McKee, CCK Associate Regional Minister of Congregational Transformation was appointed to the Alumni Board of Phillips Theological Seminary.
Lawrence has a new church in formation – “The Fringe” – that will be led by Rev. Dr. Tiffany DeTienne. The church plans to partner with Kansas University’s Ecumenical Campus Ministries. The church has defined its mission to reach those who have been on the fringe of and/or who traditional church has left out or behind. DeTienne comes from Church World Service.
Di Watkins, Parsons FCC has been called to serve on the New Design Implementation Team for the General Church. The Implementation Team will work to assist the General Board in putting into effect the changes proposed in GA-2343. At the 2023 General Assembly, this team was tasked with developing a plan for implementing adopted changes to the Design, including recommendations for sufficient funding and staffing.
