Join us on October 14th for a virtual workshop that can help your congregation discover ways to support foster and adoption families in your community and even in your congregation. This continues the Mission Focus work of the Christian Church In Kansas we introduced at Regional Assembly.
Participants will discover:
-Two models of Foster and Adoption Support as seen in Kansas Churches.
– A continuum of strategies that churches can intentionally use to support foster and adoptive families; from no-cost (or low-cost) to having foster/adoption support be an integrated ministry of the congregation.
– Care Communities: A model that provides wrap-around support for each foster and adoptive family. This model dramatically improves the retention rate of families caring for vulnerable children.
