What Does It Truly Mean to Love Your Neighbor as Yourself?
Have you ever been so busy that you feel like you were lost in the midst of all the chaos in your life? What happened as a result? Did you scramble to pick up the pieces? Beat yourself up for your imperfections? Get sick from all the stress? Or, perhaps bury your head under a pillow, hoping it would all eventually just go away?
What would happen if we began to treat ourselves and our neighbors with the same kind of compassion, mercy, and grace that Jesus offered people? Wouldn’t it be a gift to take some quiet time away to find out?
On October 23-25, Doug Euler and Donna Gilchrist, will guide Kansas Spiritual Retreat participants, through the wisdom of author Kristen Neff. They will explore the realm of compassion, using it as a tool to help us live more fully into our lives with Christ and our neighbors.
In addition to learning, you can look forward to fellowship time with old and new friends, great food, and quiet time on the grounds of the beautiful Disciples Center at Tawakoni.
