The 2017 Clergy Retreat will be March 28-30 at the Disciples Center at Tawakoni. Retreat begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and ends sometime before noon on Thursday

D. Newell Williams has been President and Professor of Modern and American Church History of Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University since 2003. He co-edited two books with Douglas A. Foster and Paul M. Blowers, The Stone-Campbell Movement: A Global History (Chalice Press, 2013) and The Encyclopedia of the Stone-Campbell Movement (William B. Eerdmans Publishing Co., 2004). Dr. Williams will be sharing four short presentations on the history of how Disciples have responded to racism. He will also provide time for questions and discussion on what he shares.
