The Pro-Reconciliation and Anti-Racism Initiative was founded upon the need to make God’s beloved community visible. It invites the church to listen to the once-silenced voices of its racial and ethnic communities, learn from their wisdom, and gain insight from their leadership.
The true goal is to transform, strengthen and deepen the church’s spirituality, resulting in a community that understands its mission to bring justice and salvation to the world.
Funds from the Reconciliation Special Day Offering in the fall provide grants for pro-reconciliation/anti-racism programs. The Reconciliation Offering is divided, with one-half staying in our region and one-half used by the General Reconciliation Ministry.
The application for 2024 applications is open. The deadline to submit grant applications is March 31. 2024 grant recipients will be promoted as a part of the 2024 Reconciliation Special Offering in September and October. Funds distribution will be in January 2025.
