The Art of Church Communication (AOCC) workshops have three opportunities to participate: Saturday, May 18, at New Hope Christian Church, Wichita; Saturday, Aug. 24, at Great Bend First Christian Church; and Saturday, Nov. 9, at Manhattan, First Christian Church.
Pre-registration is open for the Wichita event, with the Great Bend and Manhattan events opening on May 28 and Aug. 13, respectively. Note: Pre-registrations will be charged on March 22 if the minimum registration requirement is met.
Workshops will be led by Sam Schaefer, Director of Marketing at Kansas Christian Home, and Jessica Marston, CCK Communications Specialist.
Participants will learn basic tools and strategies through interactive presentations and hands-on activities. Snacks and a catered lunch are provided.
The theme for this year’s AOCC workshops will be “Starting With The Basics.” Participants will have the opportunity to choose between four breakout session topics:
- Establishing your Brand
- Canva Design Studio
- Websites: Your Digital Front Door
- Engaging your Social Media Followers
In addition to the break-out sessions, Sam and Jessica will discuss building your communication team and setting communication goals.
The registration fee is $50 per person, but we encourage you to take advantage of the early bird price of $35 by registering by April 20. Church group rates (three or more) are also available for $30 each when registering by April 30. If you are a member of one of our host churches, check with your church office about additional discount opportunities.
While many of the strategies and tools will be focused on the application to ministry, we are also opening this opportunity up to small business owners and vendors who want to enhance their business marketing strategies. If you own your own business or hobby project, come learn how to take your communication and marketing strategies to the next level. The small business and vendor rate is $60 per person.
Registration will close May 4 for the Wichita event, Aug. 10 for the Great Bend event, and Oct. 26 for the Manhattan event. Late registration will be accepted by phone at 785-266-2914. A minimum of 12 participants are needed to hold the event.
