The Association of Disciples Musicians (ADM) Council and Planning Team have been working diligently to prepare for the association’s annual conference. The 2022 conference will be at the University of Tulsa campus on July 17, 2022, and the theme is, “Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here.”
The conference will kick off the first evening with a western cookout and some line dancing. Then we will close with a reception introducing the clinicians and option leaders and giving other details about the week.
Conference workshops will include:
- David Cherwien Hymn Festival
- Handbell Techniques
- Beginning Keyboard Improv
- Handbell Reading Sessions
- Worship Seminars
- Choral Conducting
- Organ Improv
- Building Labyrinths
- Worship Design
- Creative Worship Experiences
- Choir Music Reading Sessions
- Organ Master Class
The purpose of ADM is to increase the effectiveness of church musicians, clergy, and laity as they engage in the mission of the church, especially the music and worship ministries of the local congregation. It evaluates and improves the standard of music and its use within the total life of the church and promotes fellowship of Disciples musicians through the exchange of ideas.
Hopefully, you can now begin your planning and budgeting to attend next summer’s conference and once again be with the ADM Family. If you have questions, please contact Brad, Katrina Cochran, or Anne Marie Moyars.
