Rev. Dr. Arthur F. Carter, Jr., Assistant Professor of New Testament Studies at Phillips Theological Seminary, serves as the founding director of Black Church Traditions and African American Faith-life.
His primary research foci are early Christian literature, approaches to biblical interpretation, and uses of biblical imagery in nineteenth – century Black Atlantic discourses. He has previously served on faculties at American Baptist College, Vanderbilt University, and UNC Greensboro.
A native of the Carolinas, he is licensed to Christian ministry within the Baptist faith-tradition. He currently resides in the Tulsa Metropolitan area with his family.
An optional pre-event golf fellowship or camp service project is being planned. If you would like to participant, indicate so on your registration form so that we can make appropriate arrangements for your arrival. Pre-Event activity may be canceled if not enough people sign-up.
Cost is $70 for lodging at Tawakoni, meals, and program or $50 for meals and program. Online registration has been extended through Monday, April 17. Registration after that date will be accepted by phone and at the event organizer’s discretion.
