I am the pastor at Central Christian Church, Arkansas City. We have been at Central Christian for five years. I am the Moderator of the South Central District as well as being the CCK Moderator.
I grew up on a small farm in rural Illinois. I was born and raised in the Disciples of Christ Church at Ursa Christian Church in Ursa, IL. I attended Spoon River Community College after high school and later would attend Hannibal/LaGrange College. I worked for Moormans Feed Co. which was eventually purchased by ADM. I worked in Dairy Research for 15 years and Swine Research for 5 years. I spent my first year with Moormans at the factory unloading raw materials for feeds. All together I worked 21 years at Moormans and ADM before attending Phillips Theological Seminary. I was an associate part-time pastor at First Christian Church in Bartlesville, OK while attending seminary.
My wife Bev and I have four children, 3 girls and 1 boy. We have four grandchildren. Our family is scattered; a daughter and her husband in Benbrook, TX, a daughter in Baltimore, MD., a daughter in Jacksonville, IL., and a son and his family in LaGrange, MO. We are not able to see our family often, but make use of modern technology as a way to keep in touch.
I like to canoe and fish, but never seem to find the time. I also enjoy sports and reading.
